How We Began
Our first
cocker spaniel as a buff female name Mickey that John got for me and
our young son. She was pet quality and fit into our busy young
family. After a move to a new job and town we acquired a red/white
female Brandy that John wanted to breed and have a litter. With
Brandy we had our first successful litter which produced our first
homebred champion---Ch Swank's O'Shaughnessy Girl in 1976. We had
gone to Mrs. Ruth Krauchi in St Louis to breed to her young
promising stud Ch Silver Maple O'Shaughnessy. With one champion
John was hooked by the show bug. The next 30 years we have bred
over 70 champions and have enjoyed raising and showing our Cockers.
We have been blessed with numerous dog-friends during this period.
We dedicate this website to our dogs and dog-friends.
